| Government Application Fees |
| Entry Clearance, UK Border Agency Fees are charged by the Home Office for the assessment of any application. When paid to The London Link as part of an application engagement, these fees are passed directiy to the UK Border Agency by us on submission of your case. Entry Clearance Fees are payable directly to a British Embassy issuing the visa abroad and are non - refundable. There are some exemptions to some fees. |

| Work Permits and Leave to Remain for State School positions in England -Deferred Payments. |

| Whilst applications for teachers for State maintained schools in England are not exempt from the charge, it has been agreed that rather than charge them directly, Work Permits(UK) will recover the cost of the charges periodically from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).This arrangement will be reviewed on a regular basis. |

| Under European Law, we are obliged to exempt prospective employers of overseas nationals from countries who have signed and ratified the Council of Europe Charter or the European Social Charter (revised). |
 |
| Therefore, employers making work permit applications to employ nationals of the Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, FYRMacedonia, Moldova, Romania and Turkey will be exempt from the charge. |
 |
| Any application, which falls outside the Deferred or Exempt category, must be accompanied by a valid payment. |
 |
| Failure to do so will result in a delay in the consideration of the work permit application. |

| Exemptions - HSMP and General Skilled Tier 1 |
 |
| Under European Law, the Home Office are obliged to exempt nationals of countries which have signed and ratified the Council of Europe Charter or the European Social Charter (revised). These are Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Georgia, FYR Macedonia and Ukraine. Nationals from these countries are exempt from the charge. |
